If you have never tried scuba diving before, we recommend your first step is to contact us to arrange a try-dive at the pool on a club night. Only fifteen pounds (refundable on joining) From there, we can assess how you get on, and whether learning with a club is the right way for you to go. Next steps then involve getting a medical, filling in an application form, and giving the Treasurer some money!

Costs.

Current club fees, including membership of the British Sub Aqua Club totals 195 for a new member. Renewal fees in subsequent years are reduced to 110. There are also reductions where more than one member of the family joins BSAC and if joining mid year.

The best bet is to contact the treasurer for details of benefits currently available, and he can guide you through the financial maze!

You will also need to budget for some basic equipment (mask, fins and snorkel) early in your training
